Headcount was established to provide a range of outsourced professional manpower services namely

• Manpower contracting – effectively the term leasing to clients of professional engineering, construction and technical personnel to work under the client’s direction and control
• Outsourced managed services – the provision of outsourced services, typically of a technical nature, on the client’s site, managed by ourselves
• Recruitment services – sourcing of personnel for employment by our clients
• CAD design / drafting services (As-built P&ID's, Piping Design, Services coordination) 

In Ireland these services focus on engineering and technical manpower and applications; they are directed at manufacturing and process industry end users, primarily multinational companies; we differentiate on the quality of professional delivery of the service, the quality of the manpower employed, the quality of the back-up professional HR support and the availability of the managed service capability.

Ireland

The company employs 120 staff mostly deployed at customer sites.  The majority of the business transacted comprises Contracted Manpower i.e. personnel leased out on either short or long term contracts at customer sites working under the customers’ direction and control.  Headcount is presently working with many multi national clients.  Increasingly the Outsourced Managed Services component has grown in scale and significance. This typically involves the delivery of small project design or construction services or increasingly the managing of drawings and technical documents on behalf of the customer.

In late 07 we undertook a recruitment campaign in both Poland and Romania for permanent technician staff for a multi national client. These foreign recruited staff have begun employment in Limerick during first quarter 2008.

Poland

Since its inception in June 06 Headcount Polska has focussed on the Recruitment of top end professionals on behalf of multinational clients. Headcount Polska services five sectors – financial and legal; pharma and medical; real estate and construction; manufacturing and technology; and retail.

Headcount Polska now employs 15 staff in the Warsaw office.
While most of the business involves deployment of personnel within Poland – roughly 70% - increasingly the business serves the CEE region with people placed into Ukraine, Czech, Romania and Finland. A small volume of Contracted Manpower business was transacted in the latter half of 07.

Canada

Headcount Canada was incorporated in Calgary in June 07. It is a joint venture company with CBM Projects Inc. CBM is owned by an Irish engineer Myles Byrne who has been resident there for the past 14 years. It specialises in the provision of engineering services to the oil and gas industry – commissioning, start-up and operations services. These services essentially compliment the engineering, construction and technical services that Headcount Canada provides.
