Headcount Solutions is a leading provider of specialist resourcing needs both nationally and internationally.
We currently seek a Supplier Quality Engineer for a new Medical Device manufacturing facility.

This is a key role with the successful candidate being responsible for supporting the selection of suppliers, and the client’s assessment and approval process, from a quality perspective.
Assess supplier performance and coordinate supplier non conformances and corrective actions based on performance.

Responsibilities:

 •  Develop and maintain quality standards for SQA / Purchasing Control activities
 •  Liaise with Supplier development and Strategic sourcing in the maintenance and performance of suppliers.
 •  Assist in the review and approval process for the qualification of Item and Service providers.
 •  Assist in the review and approval of specifications, inspection reports and part number set-ups     required for the successful completion of raw material inspections.
 •  Establish and maintain metrics reflecting the performance of local/direct suppliers to facilitate supplier monitoring and improvement.
 •  Communicate non-conformances to suppliers through Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCAR)     process and ensure timely closure of all open actions.
 •  Responds to and participates in corrective action implementation for identified internal audits
 •  Participates in investigation/corrective action efforts during production interruption circumstances.
 •  Review and approval of the completed Batch Record Files to assure correct disposition of inspected    materials as required.
 •  Liaise with Operations, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse, Engineering and NPD to ensure     uninterrupted supply of materials.

Requirements:
 • BSc / BEng in a relevant discipline
 • Experience in supplier management is essential with a knowledge of problem solving methodologies.
 • Possess a strong mix of technical experience along with supplier management experience.
