Leading private owned food processing plant are looking to expand their operations due to increased demand and are now looking to recruit an experienced individual as an Assistant Production Manager.

The Position

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all the production efficiency targets are met and maintained. Supervisors must supply the management team with the necessary paper work on a daily basis.
  • All operations in production are in full working order, and manage daily production issues and reporting to the Production Manager
  • Responsible for achieving high levels of quality and maintaining the requirements in production
  • Responsible for controlling operators hours/ absenteeism / annual leave whilst maintaining maximum efficiency of operations
  • Ensure there is effective communication / consultation with the senior management team

  •             Defrosting, chilling, freezing, packaging procedures must be followed according to the required SOP’s

    Assistant Production Manager will ensure traceability is maintained and accurate

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate 2-3 years previous experience within a Food Manufacturing / Production environment. Exposure to Meat, Chicken / Fish production would be a huge advantage.

You will also be a highly motivated and ambitious individual able to deal with the the demands of this dynamic and challenging production plant.
